Folding crate
The folding crate was a nice project I have done during the end of my studies for the minor “sustainable packaging design”.
With a small group of 3 people we designed this folding crate from idea until 3D model.
The design of this product was focused on optimization, where we created a simple mechanism to open and close the crate and assemble the hinge.
We added features like stack-ability in 2 directions, so the crates could be stacked on a standard Euro pallet in a special configuration.
After the final presentation of this project we received a 9/10 grading.
